On Completion TLIF0009 Ensure the safety of transport activities

All individuals involved in the movement of goods have a responsibility to ensure that each load they transport does not breach Road Traffic Laws in Western Australia. Commonly broken traffic laws include exceeding the permitted height, width, length, or weight of the vehicle and its load, and failing to secure loads correctly or safely. Loads must be secured in accordance with the Load Restraint Guide, and all freight containers must be transported with a compliant container weight declaration.

The main purpose of this course is to ensure that all participants in the supply chain share responsibility for safety in the movement of goods. It is the system by which all parties are responsible for a load’s movement if they have the capability or opportunity to ensure that the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Western Australian laws are being complied with.

Nationwide Training’s Chain of Responsibility training covers all of the above.

Our Chain of Responsibility course is suitable for people working within the transport and logistics industry. Roles in direct conjunction with heavy vehicle supply chain operations include scheduling, loading/unloading, driving, or - if you are an employer or a prime contractor - you also fall under the Chain of Responsibility legislation.
