Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence Training

Transporting bulk DANGEROUS GOODS by road in Australia requires a Dangerous Goods Driver’s Licence. Complete a two-day training course with Nationwide Training to apply for a National Dangerous Goods Driver’s Licence in Western Australia.

Note: to receive your certificate on the course day you must provide a USI that can be validated two (2) working days before the course.

Nationwide Training is endorsed by the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (DLGIRS) to conduct Dangerous Goods training in Western Australia. Approval Number: WA-T-APP01/10.

Course Requirements

Learners:

  • Must read the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) Dangerous Goods Driver Licence application requirements before attending the course.
  • Must complete thorough pre-reading of the Nationwide Training Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence Manual before attending.
  • Must complete the Theory Assessments as closed book exams.
  • Reference materials permitted in the CLOSED book assessment are: ADG Code, DG Regs both provided by us plus your own notes.
  • Must wear fully enclosed shoes.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Learners who do not have sufficient English cannot attempt the assessment.
  • Must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Please visit: www.usi.gov.au.

Note: Dangerous Goods Driver Licence online applications are submitted via the SRS system. You can register on the LGIRS SRS website.

Notes:

  • DMP is now known as DLGIRS — the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety.
  • The regulator requires the course to be a closed-book assessment. However, the reference materials permitted for the closed-book assessment are the ADG Code and the DG Regulations (both provided by us), plus your own notes.
  • The regulator requires all learners to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment prior to undertaking the Mandatory Assessment Instrument. Learners who do not have sufficient English skills with reading, writing and numbers cannot attempt the assessment.

This classroom-based training is delivered face to face.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is not accepted for unit TLILIC0001 Licence to transport dangerous goods by road.

On Successful Completion

On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Nationwide Training:
