Who Can Benefit from Our Forklift Licence Courses?

Forklifts are essential to the economy, and here at Nationwide Training, we have previously discussed the importance of Forklift training from a safety perspective; we have also explored conversations around the changes we see in our industry and what impact AI, Robots, and Automation can and may have in the future for Warehousing, Transport and Logistics. However, ultimately, we continue to see an increase in the number of students booking courses as they require Forklift Training.

Although we tend to focus on key/well-known industries, forklifts are used in many more environments than just warehouses. They move heavy equipment in agriculture, construction, shipping ports, airports, retail stores, and even film sets.

We welcome students from various industries and have the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Students who come to Nationwide Training to acquire their Forklift Licence include:

       First-Time/Beginner Forklift Learners:

Beginner forklift learners are individuals with little to no prior experience operating forklifts. The common goal here is to learn safe practices, understand legal compliance and build the learner’s confidence in operating a forklift. We have many beginner learners at Nationwide Training, and our staff is friendly and welcoming. We will help guide you on this new and exciting journey!

Individuals Needing Different Types of Forklift Licences:

This includes participants with an LF or an LO Licence but need the other.

An LF (Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck) licence in Australia permits the operation of forklifts equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage, such as counterbalance and reach forklifts. However, it does not authorise the operation of order-picking forklifts, which requires an LO (Licence to Operate an Order Picking Forklift Truck) licence.

       Forklift Licence Renewals:

In Australia, a forklift licence, classified as a High-Risk Work (HRW) licence, is valid for five years.

If you do not renew your licence in time and your licence expires, you may be required to undergo additional training or assessments to regain your forklift certification.

Experienced Forklift Licence holders who require an Australian Licence

This may include International Forklift Operators Moving to Australia (International licences are not recognised in Australia), Military Veterans with Forklift Experience, Contractors in Multinational Companies, Tourist or Working Holiday Visa Holders + more.
