TLI31216 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Heavy General Freight)

Our Driving Operations (Heavy General Freight) Traineeships are available to all companies working in the Transport & Logistics Industry. This traineeship is designed to inform, educate and provide safety-first approaches to all truck drivers operating commercial transport to deliver Freight.

With our Heavy General Freight Driving Certificate Traineeship, each candidate will be taught the fundamentals of transporting freight based on Australian and industry standards.

Throughout this traineeship, each candidate will be required to complete a total of 18 units. Each unit has been crafted to ensure the utmost safety of the driver and public relating to loading/unloading, transportation and managing of the load. An all-inclusive traineeship that results in a Nationwide Training certified heavy general freight driver on completion.

On completion, each candidate will receive a Certificate III in Driving Operations (Heavy General Freight) issued by Nationwide Training.

Driving Operations - Traineeship Eligibility

Employees who have been working for your company for less than three (3) months full time may attract employer incentives and funding

Employees who have been working for your company for less than twelve (12) months part time may attract employer incentives and funding

Employer Incentives

Employers may also be eligible for incentives from both the federal and state government up to $8,250.00

Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Programme

  • $1,500.00 – six (6) months from commencement
  • $2,500.00 – on completion

Jobs & Skills WA Employer Incentive

  • $2,125.00 – Commencement payment at the six (6) month milestone
  • $2,125.00 – Completion payment if the completion occurs on or after the eighteen (18) month milestone full time or twenty seventh (27) month milestone part time. Earlier completions are paid on a pro rata basis

Duration

24 months for full time employees

36 months for part time employees

Delivery

Workplace-based training is delivered face to face and includes pre-reading, practical training and observation of you performing routine work tasks while on-the-job.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available.

New Workers Certificate III in Driving Operations (Heavy General Freight) course fees:
25 years old or over $729.00* GST Free;
17 – 24 years old $729.00* GST Free;
* Annual course fee caps apply of $1,200 for 25 year olds and over and $400 for 17 – 24 year olds

Note: Fees and charges are based on the Department of Training and Workforce Development Fees and Charges Policy in line with Nationwide Training’s recommended training plan. Any changes to the training plan may see an alteration to these fees. Fees are GST free. Fees are only for units started in the current year. Fees for units started in future years are yet to be determined by the government.

Entitles the learner to a maximum of 12 scheduled training sessions.

On Successful Completion

On successful completion of a qualification you will receive a Certificate issued by Nationwide Training:
